These packaged manholes feature integral Parshall (or other) flumes for flow measurement, top cover or manhole reducer, end adapters for quick connection to pipe, internal ladder and mounting brackets for flow sensors and other monitoring equipment.

Krohne has introduced its UFM 3030 ultrasonic flowmeters, a new generation of 3-beam inline liquid ultrasonic flowmeters. These new meters overcome the price and performance barriers previously preventing wide-scale use of ultrasonics. Their 3-beam design with Digital Signal Processing improves accuracy, reliability and repeatability of the flow measurement.
The low cost Lo-Co Series from Hoffer Flow Controls is an inexpensive turbine flowmeter for liquid service. A true industrial flowmeter, this product is constructed of 316 stainless steel and NPT type end fittings. The meters are suited for clean water applications such as municipal water monitoring. They are available in nine overlapping sizes from 1/4'' to 2''. Performance specifications provide for ±1% accuracy. The meters can be configured in a 4-20 mA output, conditioned pulse output or with indicator/totalizer packages.

Dynasonics unveils the new TFXP Portable Transit Time Ultrasonic Flow Meter for non-invasive flow measurement. Designed primarily for liquids, the meter is also capable of reliably measuring liquids containing moderate amounts of suspended solids or aeration. It is optimal for long- or short-term flow measurement surveys on full-pipe liquid systems and is ideal for verifying calibration of permanently mounted flow meters of all types.
The Moyno® Metering Pump is suitable for metering low-flow liquids in a wide range of processing applications including dosing, sampling and metering. The progressing cavity design results in a smooth flow free from pulsations and variations in velocity and volume. This prevents material waste or mixture imbalance. The new "Internet Messenger" generation MS2 system from Blue Ribbon Corp. is a single, stand-alone instrument which monitors and controls the functions of a single or multiple lift stations to detect faults such as pump failures, level-sensor failures, high or low water emergency alarms, loss of station power and other anomalies as they occur. Application is primarily for monitoring wastewater flow. The system consists of three modules: the level sensor, the setpoint controller, and the web-connected modem which reports status by e-mail, pagers, and cell phones to responsible parties at remote locations.

Control, monitor, and protect pump operations with the new Series MPC Pump Controller from the Mercoid division of Dwyer Instruments. The controller provides one- or two-pump control with built-in alternation; process input retransmission; and pump run time indication in a standard 1/4 DIN package. Pump monitoring features include pump over-temperature protection by removing the pump from service and seal failure indication for submersible pumps. So many features are combined into the controller that the unit eliminates many components in a pump control system.

The Burkert Type 8175 Ultrasonic Level Transmitter provides ±0.25% full-scale accuracy over a 1- to 32-foot range. Resolution is ±1/8 inch. The unit — designed for continuous level control, on/off level measurements of fluids/solids, flow measurements in open channels, and volume and distance measurements — combines an ultrasonic sensor, transducer and eight-digit multi-language display protected by a splash-proof plastic NEMA 4 enclosure. From its transducer base, the transmitter pulses a high-frequency ultrasonic sound wave eight times per second.
In-Situ's miniTROLL probe can be used to collect real-time information for analysis of water level trends. The data logger, memory, level sensor and power are provided in a fully-submersible, 316L stainless steel housing. The probe is only 0.72 inches in diameter, making it suitable for monitoring water level fluctuations in 1-inch boreholes or observation piping. Two AA batteries power the unit for up to two years and are user-replaceable.
The Siemens Sitrans FM Magflo 5100 W, with its patented composite elastomer lining, is suitable for all water applications, including ground water, drinking water, wastewater, sewage or sludge. The Sensorprom is the flowmeter's memory unit, unique for each flowmeter, and carries all characteristics. It ensures correct setup and accurate flow measurement from the first power-up, without programming. The USM II is a Universal Signal Module with "Plug & Play" simplicity.

The SP6R-LSC Lift Station Controller, available from SJE-Rhomus, is a microprocessor-based controller designed to monitor the level in wet wells via a submersible pressure transducer or any other device with a 4-20 mA signal output. The controller displays level set points, pump run time, pump cycle count and actual level. In addition, it also provides pump alternation and has a simulation feature. The controller can be configured for pump down or pump up applications.

Mars DataStream Data Loggers can be operated by anyone with basic computer skills. They log total flow, flow rate and pressure (optional) for three months at one-minute intervals. They support all brands and standard registers, pulse or encoder, using one or two channels.
