The new "Internet Messenger" generation MS2 system from Blue Ribbon Corp. is a single, stand-alone instrument which monitors and controls the functions of a single or multiple lift stations to detect faults such as pump failures, level-sensor failures, high or low water emergency alarms, loss of station power and other anomalies as they occur. Application is primarily for monitoring wastewater flow. The system consists of three modules: the level sensor, the setpoint controller, and the web-connected modem which reports status by e-mail, pagers, and cell phones to responsible parties at remote locations.

Control, monitor, and protect pump operations with the new Series MPC Pump Controller from the Mercoid division of Dwyer Instruments. The controller provides one- or two-pump control with built-in alternation; process input retransmission; and pump run time indication in a standard 1/4 DIN package. Pump monitoring features include pump over-temperature protection by removing the pump from service and seal failure indication for submersible pumps. So many features are combined into the controller that the unit eliminates many components in a pump control system.
