Zero flow offset
Morgan Advanced Materials has developed a method to measure the zero flow offset property for a broad spectrum of transducers, optimising overall flow measurement accuracy in ultrasonic sensors. Morgan said it has made advances in minimising zero flow offset, to levels as low as 60ps. By streamlining the transducer design and production methods, this has been shown to restrict variation to less than 5% over a wide range of environmental conditions. ‘Zero flow offset’ is a by-product of the physical constraints of materials and signal processing technologies that may impact meter accuracy.
Peracetic Acid Analyser
The PA80 Peracetic Analyzer from Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD) aims to simplify process monitoring to ensure disinfection without the need for potentially harmful disinfection byproducts (DPBs). The PA80’s design includes built-in flow control and features multiple PAA measurement ranges: 0-20, 0-200 and 0-2000 ppm. The PA80’s plumb and play design incorporates a constant head flow control device, a pH sensor, a peracetic acid sensor and ECD’s T80 analyser/transmitter - all mounted on a PVC panel.
FPI-X Mag Flow Meter
The new FPI-X Dual Sensor Electromagnetic Flow Meter from McCrometer can achieve ±0.5% accuracy under the most severe swirling flows, the manufacturer has said.
Designed for use in close proximity to cascading or multiple pump arrays, the FPI-X mag meter provides measurement in difficult sites that otherwise require multiple meters in various locations, saving customers both money and installation time. The FPI-X flow meter features a field-proven dual sensor configuration designed with multiple electromagnetic coils installed throughout both sensors to produce a magnetic field across the complete cross sectional area of the pipe.
KROHNE has launched its OPTISWIRL 4200 vortex flowmeter for advanced energy management systems. Used to measure both conducting and non-conducting liquids, the new OPTISWIRL 4200 vortex flowmeter can be used for internal monitoring of energy flows for saturated and superheated steam or hot water, and heat metering applications.
Equipped with comprehensive communication options, and designed in accordance with international IEC 61508 functional safety standards, the OPTISWIRL 4200 is an update to the original OPTISWIRL 4070.
