Cheng joins KTA's professional staff
PITTSBURGH, March 13, 2006 -- KTA-Tator Inc. is pleased to announce that Ms. Judy Cheng has joined the firm as a Western territory coatings consultant. With a B.S. in Chemistry, Cheng has over 15 years of diversified experience in the development and testing of paint and coatings, composites and UV curable thin film products as well as an in-depth knowledge in material validation and performance evaluation methodology.
Prior to joining KTA, Cheng spent ten years in technical management overseeing an ISO certified testing laboratory and served as a technical contact for product application and performance criteria of paint and coatings to customers, internal departments and sister divisions within Ameron International.
Cheng currently serves as a Vice Chair of Committee D33 (Coatings Used in Nuclear Power Facility) for the Association of Standard Tests and Materials (ASTM) and is a member of ASTM Committee D01 (Painting and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications). The author of ASTM D6577 (Standard Guide for Testing Industrial Protective Coatings), Cheng was a recipient of ASTM's Award of Appreciation (D01).
As a Coatings Consultant for the Western Territory, Cheng will be responsible for performing coatings evaluations and failure investigations, preparing coatings specifications and maintenance painting programs, and conducting training courses.
