LOUISVILLE, KY, June 19, 2006 -- ISCO Industries, one of the nation's largest distributors and suppliers of polyethylene (HDPE) piping products, has announced the opening of a distribution facility in Canada.
"We are extremely excited about this new opportunity to begin our global expansion with our neighbors and customers to the north," said ISCO President Jimmy Kirchdorfer.
The new location is in Crossfield, located 25 miles north of Calgary in the Province of Alberta. The 5,000 square foot facility inventories a large selection of McElroy parts, and McElroy fusion machines for sale and rent, including the TracStar® models.
The facility also stocks several of the self-contained, tracked Fast Fusion™ MobileFusion TRAC 20 machines for sale or rent. This machine incorporates mobility, efficient pipe handling, and a patented enhanced cooling system to increase the production capacity and number of fusion welds per hour -- up to 50% over conventional fusion methods. Depending on the fusion equipment installed, the unit can butt fuse 2" up to 20" OD/HDPE. The machine moves along the pipe, weld after weld. The process is unaffected by time of day and inclement weather, and the in-cab cooling system delivers easier, quicker completed fusion welds.
"This Canadian facility gives ISCO an excellent base to work from in service to our growing customer base in Alberta and the surrounding Provinces," said Ted Amaya, Director of International Sales at ISCO Industries. "The Fast Fusion machine's design complements the unpredictable weather that Canada faces most of the year," he said. ISCO's first international move into Canada reflects the rapidly growing use of HDPE across many applications in that part of North America.
With this addition ISCO Industries continues to take an impressive expansion track, having added facilities in Baltimore, Maryland in early 2005 and Lincoln, Nebraska in the fall of 2005.
ISCO sales and technical representatives will be working from the new facility and can be reached by calling toll free at 1-800-345-ISCO (4726). The address of the new facility is 812 C Laut Ave., Box 469, Crossfield AB Canada.
ISCO Industries (www.isco-pipe.com) stocks and sells HDPE pipe, fittings and fabrications for various industrial, municipal, environmental, golf and landfill applications throughout the United States. The company also rents, services and sells McElroy fusion equipment. Along with the addition of the new Canadian facility, ISCO has stocking locations in the states of Maryland, Nebraska, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, California, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, Utah, Arizona and Illinois -- inventorying large stockpiles of pipe, usually within one day's delivery of most projects.
