Hydraulic Institute: Registration now open for 2008 spring meeting

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announced that registration is now open for the 2008 Spring Technical Meeting to be held at the Marriott Cleveland Downtown at Key Center in Cleveland, Ohio from June 3-7, 2008. PARSIPPANY, NJ, April 4, 2008 -- The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announced that registration is now open for the 2008 Spring Technical Meeting to be held at the Marriott Cleveland Downtown at Key Center in Cleveland, Ohio from June 3-7, 2008.

The 2008 Spring Technical Meeting features over thirty technical sessions addressing industry standards, guidelines and electronic data exchange protocols. Meeting highlights also include:
• Two Pump Knowledge Exchange Workshops - Julian Atchia, SJE Rhombus, will cover "How to use Variable Frequency Drives for Pressure Control" and Mick Cropper, Sulzer Pumps (US), will cover "Rotodynamic Pump Design and Application" based on a new HI standard.
• The Vatican Splendor Exhibit - Meeting participants will visit the largest Vatican art collections ever to tour North America that is on exhibit in Cleveland. Vatican Splendors from "Saint Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Swiss Guard" contains works from Michelangelo, Bernini and Giotto dating back to the third century.

The 2008 Spring Technical Meeting offers unique networking and educational opportunities for engineers, marketing professionals and executives associated with pump and supplier companies throughout North America. Participants work together to develop comprehensive industry standards guidelines and educational courses.

Registration is open to all HI members, associate members and Standards Partners and eligible prospective members. Membership is limited to companies with manufacturing facilities in North America.
