The Trident® HS system design consists of packaged high-rate settling, adsorption clarification, mixed media filtration, and optional UV disinfection. These innovations allow the Trident® HS to handle very high raw water turbidity and solids loading and achieve TOC reductions of up to 70% or more.

BWA's Bellasol® oilfield antiscalants include the Bellacide 355 and Bellasol S65. The 355 is a safe, powerful, fast acting, long-lasting biocide for hydraulic fracturing, produced fluids, pipeline, and downhole and topside applications. It kills sulfate-reducing and acid-producing bacteria, controls biofilm, and prevents souring. The S65 is a biodegradable antiscalant that outperforms traditional phosphonates and polyaspartate for calcium carbonate and barium sulfate scale inhibition.

Collins' flanged plastic control valve, Model 2060, features a body of either PVDF or polypropylene and an actuator/yoke of glass-filled polypropylene, making it suitable for harsh fluids and/or corrosive environments. The 2060 can be equipped with either a pneumatic positioner, a positioner with integral I/P, or an electric actuator. The new valve features a 2" body with 150 psi flat-faced ANSI flanges.

Baldor announced a new line of electric motors: Super-E motors with Baldor Shaft Grounding Brush. Available stock ratings include 1 to 50 HP in Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) or Open Drip Proof (ODP) Foot Mounted designs along with 1/2 to 5 HP in TEFC, C-Face Foot Mounted designs. The motor is designed with a carbon brush mounted internally to divert shaft currents away from motor bearings, thus increasing the life of the bearings. The internally-mounted Baldor Shaft Grounding Brush can prevent voltage spikes from damaging the bearings.

Universal Flow Monitors announced Battery-Powered CoolPoint™ Vortex Shedding flowmeters for water, chemicals and corrosives in seven sizes. Units are self-contained with a 6.5 digit LCD read-out. The display provides user-selectable total or rate as well as gallons, liters or cubic meter engineering units. CoolPoint™ Vortex Shedding Flowmeters use a bluff body obstruction to produce vortices, and an electronic transducer measures these oscillations to provide a signal proportional to flow rate. Increasing flow increases the frequency of oscillation.
