ELMHURST, IL, Feb. 1, 2006 -- This year Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp. celebrates its 40th year of operation. Begun in 1966 by Andrew Nuter and Ted Makowan, the company grew from a humble beginning with only three employees to the industry leader it is today.

With determination and vision, Val-Matic has grown into a multi-million dollar, international corporation well known in the water and wastewater industries for the quality and service it provides. Val-Matic's growth has included many new products and certifications. Today, Val-Matic produces and sells over 15 different products including air valves, check valves, butterfly valves, plug valves and the market's first and only inflow preventer the FloodSafe®. Val-Matic designs and builds products to meet AWWA, MSS, ANSI and ASTM standards and has products certified to ANSI/NSF 61, Underwriters Laboratories (U.L.) and Factory Mutual (F.M.). Val-Matic is certified ISO 9001-2000.
