Water resources specialist joins AMEC to serve Midwest municipalities
Kevin E. Kirk, the former stormwater management coordinator for the City of Indianapolis, has joined AMEC as a water resources project manager specializing in stormwater permitting and utility development for municipalities in the midwestern United States.
Sept. 30, 2003 -- Kevin E. Kirk, the former stormwater management coordinator for the City of Indianapolis, has joined AMEC as a water resources project manager specializing in stormwater permitting and utility development for municipalities in the midwestern United States.
Kirk brings 25 years of stormwater-related experience to AMEC. He gained the experience with the City of Indianapolis, beginning as a stormwater inspector in 1978 and rising to the post of stormwater program coordinator/senior project manager in 1993. In that position, his responsibilities included the management of major flood-control, drainage and stormwater-quality-improvement projects, as well as oversight of the newly established Indianapolis Stormwater Utility.
Kirk was named Stormwater Manager of the Year in 2001 by the Indiana Association for Floodplain and Stormwater Management. His memberships include the American Public Works Association, the Association of State Floodplain Managers and the National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies.
