Malvern, Novmeber 21, 2001 — SCT has signed a contract with the City of Kansas City, MO, for SCT Banner Customer Management System (CMS), it announced today.

The contract, which includes software and related services, totals approximately $3 million and was signed in SCT's fourth fiscal quarter, which ended September 30, 2001. Kansas City Water Services Department chose SCT solutions to improve customer service and provide new products and services and advanced reporting for the municipal utility's 175,000 wastewater, storm water, and water customers.

Banner's CMS system offers the City of Kansas City enhanced billing services by enabling consumers to access account information online. This Web-based application also provides account details and other requested services, while helping the utility deliver efficient customer service and focus on the growing needs of its customers.

"We are replacing a homegrown legacy system, and Banner CMS became our choice because of its unique design, ease of navigation and integration, reasonable price, and its focus on customer satisfaction," said Mable Ramey-Moore, Assistant Director, Finance and Business Support at the City of Kansas City.

"Banner CMS was built around a customer-centric design," said John Gregg, president of SCT's global energy, utilities and communications solutions. "As utility companies find the needs of their customers changing, they need a business system capable of providing flexibility for customer care.
