Tyco Electronics unit wins ISO certification
EDISON, NJ, Nov. 4, 2004 -- Laser Diode Inc. (LDI), a unit of Tyco Electronics, has been awarded certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance issued this certification, stating the LDI quality management system for design and manufacture of opto-electronic devices has been assessed and approved against the quality management system standard ISO 9001:2000.
"ISO 9001:2000 certification demonstrates a systematic, world-standard approach to a total quality management system that supports and defines all phases of engineering and production processes," stated Rollin Ball, LDI director. "It is a tribute to our staff and employees that our company has achieved this designation."
