North Texas utility may lose wastewater permit for too many violations
The utility has received more than 30 citations for state wastewater law violations over the last six years.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the violations, including improper disharge of wastewater occurred over a six-year period.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality says the district was fined $75,000 for the violations. District officials say they has already addressed the problems, but an administrative hearing next month will determine if the Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 can renew its permit to handle wastewater.
