PennWell mourns passing of former CEO

Business-to-business media company PennWell announced that its former CEO, Robert F. Biolchini, passed away on November 8 in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

TULSA, OK, Nov. 9, 2017 -- Business-to-business media company PennWell announced that its former CEO, Robert F. Biolchini, passed away on November 8 in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Biolchini served as president and CEO of PennWell from April 2000 until his retirement in September 2015, when he became Chairman of the Board.

"His profound influence on PennWell spanned nearly five decades, from 1970 to today," said Mark Wilmoth, current president and CEO of PennWell. "We will always remember Bob for his vision, extraordinary energy, and intrepid leadership that transformed PennWell from a print-centric magazine business to what we have become today."
