Emerson has released the Rosemount 4051S pressure transmitter, designed to address demanding pressure measurement applications while providing enhanced operational insight. The transmitter can deliver local real-time control through two configurable relay switches, eliminating the need for a separate controller and enabling direct on and off control of pumps, motors and other equipment. Alerts can be generated based on pressure, flow, level, volume or internal temperature to support proactive operations.
Built for harsh process environments, the Rosemount 4051S offers a fast 40 millisecond response time, an 800:1 turndown ratio and long-term performance with a 20-year stability specification and warranty. Advanced diagnostics continuously monitor loop integrity and process conditions to detect issues such as plugged impulse lines, cavitation and abnormal operation, supporting predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
A large backlit graphical display improves readability and usability, while Bluetooth connectivity up to 50 ft (15 m) enables safe configuration and diagnostics from outside hazardous areas. The transmitter supports guided proof testing, in-situ partial testing and safety applications up to SIL 2/3, helping improve reliability, safety and maintenance efficiency in water and wastewater facilities.
