• Three-year contract has a maximum value of $28.5 million to URS
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 27, 2007 -- URS Corporation announced it has been awarded a contract by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to help the state agency comply with stormwater runoff requirements under its State Water Resources Control Board permit and the Federal Clean Water Act. Caltrans will assign tasks to URS on an "as needed" basis under the three-year agreement, which has a maximum value of $28.5 million.
Under the terms of the contract, as specific task orders are awarded by Caltrans, URS will develop monitoring plans, conduct field sampling and analyze stormwater runoff on Caltrans operated roadways and facilities in Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties. In addition, URS will assist Caltrans in identifying and testing new technologies to improve the quality of stormwater runoff.
