DALLAS, TX, Apr. 16, 2011 -- With a grant from EPA, Louisiana will address the most prevalent type of water pollution in the state and across the nation: stormwater runoff. The $2,262,000 grant from EPA will enable the state Department of Environmental Quality to implement a Nonpoint Source Management Plan.
The project will enable Louisiana to meet the goals of the Clean Water Act by managing stormwater runoff, or rainfall water pollution.
