INDIANAPOLIS, IN, May 28, 2008 -- Woolpert Inc. was recently selected by Central Arkansas Water (CAW) to implement a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for water distribution and plant maintenance operations.
Woolpert will partner with Azteca Systems, a software provider of the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) Cityworks. Woolpert will leverage GIS information, implement a complete CMMS and integrate information from finance and the CAW Customer Information System among other systems within Central Arkansas Water's operation.
The twelve-month project will allow Central Arkansas Water to draw information from its existing GIS, creating a more efficient, cost-effective maintenance system. The new system will also discard redundant information while reducing the possibility of incomplete or inconsistent data entry. The overall goal is to centralize maintenance and operations processes into an integrated, maintainable workflow (and software) that meets the daily operational and reporting needs of CAW.
"Beyond the common functions of incorporating preventative maintenance measures and dispatch, this system will allow Central Arkansas Water to electronically accommodate their maintenance needs, in a highly efficient manner, as they communicate and track work orders, materials, labor, and costs for each job they do," said John Hannel, Woolpert enterprise information management (EIM) project director in Indianapolis.
Woolpert Inc. provides professional engineering, architecture, planning, enterprise information management, water management, surveying, and photogrammetry and remote sensing services to clients in the public and private sectors.
