ROCHESTER, NY, Nov. 18, 2010 -- As part of New York's Water Quality Improvement Program, Monroe County will receive more than $3.5 million for stormwater and green infrastructure projects. A portion of that will fund an installation basin in a local park that will reduce the amount of E. coli entering the water.

In total, the program, which is part of the state's Environmental Protection Fund, provided over $61 million to help local communities improve water quality and reduce pollution.
