HDPE manholes

TolPlast Co. offers a brochure on its rotational-molded HDPE manhole system. The manholes are manufactured in components consisting of six different base options, a 24 in. riser section and six different top options. They are chemical and corrosion resistant, light weight, easy to install and designed to eliminate infiltration and exfiltration. The manholes are constructed to meet ASTM-D-3350 standards and can be installed to be H-20 rated for traffic applications.

Sludge grinder

A new brochure is available describing the low speed sludge grinder and conditioner offered by Seepex. In this grinder, solids reduction is effected by a low-speed, revolving cutter head with four tungsten carbide knives. As each cutter head knife passes over a shear plate hole, any solid passing through the hole is cut. Various shear plates with differing sizes, shapes and number of holes are available. It is particularly suited for use as a high head lift station cutter pump, for sludge conditioning prior to dewatering or for grease and scum. Ask for Brochure "M".

Check valve

The new Waterflex Check Valve brochure from Red Valve provides information on the new backflow prevention valve. The valve operates entirely on differential pressure to open and close. Forward hydraulic pressure folds the disc away from the perforated plate, allowing flow, while reverse pressure seals the flap against the surface, preventing backflow.
