Solids handling
Zoeller Engineered Products' solids handling line fits the industry's need for higher horsepower pumps. The 4" models will provide a moderate flow when pumping against a high head while the 6" pump is ideal for a high flow requirement where a low head exists. The new 64 HD series pumps provide long service life with minimal downtime. The motor is optimally designed with oil-filled housings and non-overloading windings, which enable it to maintain a low operating temperature when facing the harshest of conditions.

Super-fine screen
The OR-TEC Blue Whale Micro Bar Screen effectively screens to 2.0 mm to remove approximately three times the volume of rags, wipes, hair and other stringy material in wastewater, thereby eliminating downstream matting. It is self-cleaning, requires zero wash water or brushes and is guaranteed not to blind. The Micro Bar Screen uses a parallel array of wedge-sectioned bars (not wedge-wire) with even spaces to form the screen face. Wedge-sectioned screen bars have only 2 contact points on which material can block, as the path from the screen face to the back of the screen is gradually enlarged.

Vortex wastewater pump
Goulds Water Technology (GWT), a Xylem brand, has released its VTX Series of line submersible vortex pumps that combines GWT's reputation for reliability with an improved impeller better suited for waste handling. The vortex impeller of the VTX Series resists clogging more effectively than a traditional two-vane impeller and is capable of handling solids up to 2 inches in diameter. The VTX Series is available in five models, ranging from 1/2 to 2 horsepower, and displays pumping capabilities up to 208 gallons per minute.

CSO, sludge monitoring
Dependable results require reliable sensors. Massa's FlatPack® series sensors feature unsurpassed results with cone-shaped solids or turbulent fluid conditions. For monitoring sludge overfill in transport containers, the 95 kHz dual-transducer design provides a high acoustic output power and ability to make measurements of uneven solid surfaces to 13 ft. The IP68 rated 160 kHz model housing profile eliminates condensation and overflow risks and in-pipe blockage hang-ups with measurement capability of 1 in. to 5 ft. No-false-echo software standard for easy installation.

Density measurement
The Dynatrol® Density System offers accurate measurement of density, specific gravity, percent solids or percent concentration in-line or in vessels. The Density cells come in a full range of corrosion-resistant materials that are both weathertight and explosion-proof. They also serve broad temperature and pressure ratings with no moving parts for long operating life. The Dynatrol® Digital Density CL10HY Converter has an on-board microcontroller and arrives ready to use on your application with no programming on your part. A two-line LCD displays temperature, density, corrected gravity, product frequency and status.
