The ProFlexTM 700 Series Valve, available from Proco Products, offers extremely low head cracking pressures yet provide back flow prevention with very little maintenance. The simple design allows effluent to force the two opposing rubber lips apart which permits flow, yet the valve will quickly close preventing return of already treated effluent with as little as 1-2 inches of back pressure.
Even at low head pressures or maximum flood conditions the valve will continue to provide full port flow.
The valves can be installed with out need for heavy equipment or electrical services. They are offered in four styles with the most commonly used being the Series 730, which is a simple slip-on design, and the Series 710, which is a flanged unit available in all flange configurations including square head wall attachments.
The ProFlex line includes inline check valves, Series 720 & 740, which can be inserted in an existing pipe. This style has been designed to prevent damage to pumps due to water hammer and back flow conditions. The advantage of the In-Line design is that no housing jacket or chamber is required to house the valve; it simply slides into any available pipe.
Each check valve is manufactured to exacting standards within the specifying engineer’s or cCustomer’s specifications. Flow curves and testing data are available from an accredited flow testing facility for all check valves manufactured by Proco, upon customer request.
