Xylem named to Dow Jones Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good Index Series

Xylem announced that it has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for North America for the fourth consecutive year in recognition of its ongoing sustainability initiatives. The company was also included again in the FTSE4Good Index Series.

RYE BROOK, NY, Sept. 10, 2015 -- Today, Xylem Inc., a company dedicated to solving challenging water issues, announced that it has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for North America for the fourth consecutive year in recognition of its ongoing sustainability initiatives.

The company was also included again in the FTSE4Good Index Series, which recognizes companies that have met stringent environmental, social and governance practices.

The DJSI for North America tracks the performance of the top 20 percent of the 600 largest Canadian and United States companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index that lead the field in terms of sustainability.

The result of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment by RobecoSAM -- an investment boutique focused on sustainability investing -- the DJSI provides an in-depth analysis of economic, environmental and social criteria, such as corporate governance, water-related risks and stakeholder relations, with a special focus on industry-specific risks and opportunities.

Created by the global index company FTSE, FTSE4Good is an equity index series that is designed to facilitate investment in companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards.
