A component of firefighting foam used at Peterson Air Force Base was released into the Colorado Springs sewer system this week.

DENVER, CO, OCTOBER 19, 2016 -- According to Fox News, Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado accidentally released about 150,000 gallons of water containing PFC compounds into the sewer system of the adjacent city of Colorado Springs.
