Kenya water board drafts plan for water, wastewater projects across region
Jan. 16, 2013 -- The Lake Victoria North Water Services Board (LVNWSB), which oversees the operations of Kenya's water and sewage, announced that it will invest about KES20bn ($230.5M) to provide drinking water services and improve wastewater systems.
Over the next five years, the board will execute several projects to improve water quality and sanitation services, set up water supply schemes, and establish new sewerage facilities for over seven million people in several counties across the region.
Lake Victoria North Water Services Board chairperson Beatrice Sabana said, "Our strategic focus for the next five years will be to strengthen the institutional capacity of the board by delivering quality service."
