MONROE, LA, Jan. 21, 2011 -- A wastewater treatment plant owner in Louisiana said in federal court yesterday that he never intentionally violated any wastewater discharge laws and consistently tried to correct problems at multiple wastewater treatment plants he operated.

Louisiana Land and Water Co. owner Jeff Pruett is charged with 17 felony violations of the federal Clean Water Act that occurred between 2006 and 2009. LWC Management Co. operates more than 30 water and wastewater treatment systems in northeastern Louisiana...
