SARTELL, MN, Apr. 1, 2011 -- Valve manufacturer DeZURIK will acquire APCO Willamette, a leading producer of check valves, air valves and AWWA ball valves. Effective March 31, 2011, the acquisition will strategically expand DeZURIK's ability to serve the water markets.
Under the agreement, DeZURIK will acquire all APCO products and production capability. APCO operations will continue in their present facilities and the APCO and Willamette names will be retained as brands of DeZURIK Inc.
Consolidated business operations will be directed from DeZURIK corporate headquarters in Sartell, Minnesota.
The acquisition will add APCO valve products and market experience to the DeZURIK line of plug, butterfly and knife gate valves and will further complement DeZURIK's capability on industrial applications in the energy, process and commercial markets.
