BURNABY, BC, Canada, Sept. 17, 2008 -- ECOfluid Systems is proud to announce that it has been awarded two separate contracts to supply wastewater treatment facilities at popular resorts in Whistler and the Okanagan.
Announcing the contracts today, ECOfluid's Marketing Manager, Justin Hebner, said the contracts continue to show the popularity of the USBF™ technology amongst private developers. "The modularity of design allows owners to stage plant development and ensures that plants can quickly expand if and when growth demands, significantly reducing immediate capital costs."
At both locations high-quality effluent was stipulated: <10 mg/l BOD/TSS and <400 MPN/100ml Fecal Coliform. To meet these requirements the wastewater treatment plants will utilize ECOfluid's patented USBF™ technology followed by disinfection, ultraviolet in Whistler and chlorination using hypochlorite tablets in the Okanagan.
Preliminary site work has begun at both locations with work expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2009.
ECOfluid Systems, a British Columbia based company, was founded in 1995. Centered on its proprietary USBF treatment technology the company designs builds and operates plants for treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater.
