SANDNES, Norway, June 25, 2008 -- Sandnes Municipality in Norway selected the ABS solution for 5 Major Waste Water pumping stations based on ABS dry installed concept. Dry installed pumps in combination with advanced design features to enhance the operation of the system offer many advantages.

HMS -- health management is top of mind for the municipality of Sandnes. As pioneers in the field, Sandnes had extra concern that the investment in five new pumping stations would safeguard the highest possible health and safety standard.

"Sandnes Municipality have a long history using ABS equipment, the concept behind the pumping stations have been developed in close cooperation with the customer," says Tale Oxaas Sales Manager ABS Norway.

Facts:
The turnkey project in Sandnes comprises virtually everything except the buildings. The regional ABS office in Stavanger will deliver and install the complete solution right from the design stage; concrete pump sumps for 18 ABS dry installed sewage pumps FR, pipe works, automation, emergency power aggregates, valves, control and monitoring equipment

The project is one of the largest wastewater contracts in Norwegian history worth 35 MSEK.
