BIRMINGHAM, AL, June 16, 2008 -- American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO) won the Best of Show Gold Award for outstanding exhibit display at the American Water Works Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE) held in Atlanta, GA, June 8-11, 2008.
"ACIPCO competed with 32 companies in the large exhibit category," said Lisa Star, ACE's exhibit specialist. "The criteria included prominence of company name, variety of style, originality, and effectiveness of design. More than 500 companies from all over North America and international locales exhibited."
"We displayed our pipe, valves and fire hydrants so everyone could see first-hand what our products are and how they operate in water systems," said Maury Gaston, ACIPCO marketing services manager. "Our 10-foot diameter spiral-welded steel pipe and our 8,000-pound, 36-inch diameter gate valve were particularly popular for the over 10,000 conference attendees."
ACIPCO's display was designed and built by ExpoDisplays, Birmingham, Ala.
