In a bid to increase its European market share, the Pollet Water Group (PWG) Belgium has acquired Alamo, a domestic water treatment company in Poland.
The takeover follows PWG taking over Watertec at the beginning of 2014 and the move is expected to add 10 million euros to the group’s current 150 million euro annual turnover.
With the takeover of Alamo, the family-owned group now counts for 25 companies worldwide active in water treatment. Pollet Water Group employs 770 people and is part of the Pollet Group.
Alamo, close to Warsaw, was created in 1993. General manager Ewa Jurska, will be responsible for the further growth of Alamo, exporting water treatment components to Central and Eastern Europe.
