ROSEBURG, OR, Nov. 20, 2009 -- Romtec Utilities has been awarded a GSA Schedule Contract by the General Services Administration (GSA), allowing the company to quickly and efficiently provide pre-engineered pump stations to government agencies.
The GSA contract establishes governmental pricing for the complete pumping systems offered by Romtec Utilities, and eliminates the requirement for eligible agencies to put the project out for bid. Romtec Utilities was chosen as an approved vendor after an arduous selection process that included establishment of a fair and reasonable price for governmental buyers.
"The GSA Schedule offers a better way of doing business for our local, state and federal government customers, and we are pleased to have been awarded the contract," says Mark Sheldon, vice president of marketing for Romtec Utilities. "With the GSA Contract, government customers get competitive pricing as well as flexibility and ease of purchase."
Romtec Utilities lift stations are available on GSA Schedule to U.S. government agencies as well as state and local governments. For more information on GSA Advantage, the federal government's electronic ordering system, visit http://www.gsaadvantage.gov. Romtec's contract number is GS-07F-9402S.
