LEXINGTON, KY, Sept. 22, 2009 -- Grease and rags that were playing havoc with [the] top-entry mixers at a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lexington, Kentucky have been quelled by the installation of a Landia EradiGator.
Unlike the existing top-entry mixers that were continually failing, Landia's no-nonsense EradiGator has kept working continuously, without a hitch, as West Hickman's Maintenance Mechanic, Danny League, explains:
"The shafts on our [mixers] have been snapping from grease and rags building up on them. Since we replaced one of them last year (2008) with the Landia EradiGator, we have not had one single problem. It has somehow gotten rid of the grease, and the rags have been chopped into little pieces."
He added: "We are in the process of removing a second mixer where we are going to place another Landia EradiGator. That leaves us with only two more mixers to be replaced next year with Landia EradiGators. We are very happy with our Landias!"
Available in motors ranging from 3.6HP to 30.2HP, the EradiGator keeps on working because of its specially designed external chopping blades and guide traces in the pump's casing. Unlike other pumps, which can regularly cause downtime for cleaning and maintenance, dry matter particles are prevented from getting caught in this proven Landia pump.
