Tyco Flow Control hosts sales meeting, presents awards to top performers

PRINCETON, NJ, April 6, 2006 -- Tyco Flow Control North America (TFCNA) held a sales meeting Feb. 20-23 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Themed "Winning through Team Work," the gathering rewarded outstanding performances in 2005 and allowed colleagues from around the nation to meet and share best practices.
Over 200 sales and marketing professionals from Canada and the United States attended the meeting which opened with remarks from Ed Breen, the chairman and chief executive officer of Tyco International. Breen discussed the strategy behind the decision to split Tyco into three separate companies. Naren Gursahaney, the newly-appointed president of Tyco Engineered Products & Services (TEPS), briefly reviewed each of TEPS' business units, including the 2005 financial results and 2006 budget.
Dave Hughes, vice president of sales for TFCNA, congratulated the group on the outstanding results for 2005.
The meeting concluded with an awards reception and dinner, also held at the PGA conference resort, where Frank Ourso, sales manager of the Louisiana Gulf Coast region, received TFCNA's 2005 regional sales manager of the year award. Kenny Thorne of Tennessee received the top technical sales representative of the year award.
Others who received recognition for their outstanding performance and teamwork included:
• Peter Ray, vice president and general manager of Tyco Valves & Controls (TVC) in Canada
• Fred Holbert, director of distribution operations, TVC North America
and
• Ed Rushing, vice president of operations for TVC North America
Each of them received a President's Award and was selected by Hughes and Gursahaney.
