HOUSTON, TX, June 14, 2010 -- Houston-based Headworks Inc. has been named one the "Best Places to Work" by the Houston Business Journal. Headworks ranked No. 4 in the small business category, which includes companies with 10 to 100 employees.
The Best Places to Work contest, now in its 10th year, honors companies that have achieved the often difficult balance of maintaining a stable, productive work environment that is also fun and fulfilling for employees.
Rankings are based on anonymous employee surveys that cover 10 different categories including: trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, team effectiveness, manager effectiveness and compensation and benefits. This year, 130 companies were nominated and completed the survey in the Houston area.
"We are honored to be recognized in the small business category," said Michele LaNoue, Headworks' chief executive. "We recognize that the survey results depend on our team's ranking of issues that are important to them. We value their opinions and are proud to see that they think Headworks is a great place to work!"
Headworks and other award recipients were honored at a ceremony on June 10, 2010, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston, TX.
