MONTREAL, PQ, Canada, Nov. 2, 2007 -- DDI, manufacturer of the "Rectangular, Square, Cube"™ Low Maintenance Heat Exchangers & Heat Recovery Exchangers, announced that it has received a multimillion dollar order for a full set of Heat Exchangers from HDR Design-Build Inc (a subsidiary of HDR Inc), to be delivered this year to Rialto, California.

This project is for the design, manufacturing, and supply of four different types of Heat Exchangers for the Rialto Biosolids Processing Facility being constructed by EnerTech Environmental Inc. The heat exchangers will be utilized in EnerTech's new technology for biosolids treatment called the SlurryCarb™ process, which converts biosolids into a high energy renewable fuel.

DDI's rectangular channels design will supply the project with sludge-to-sludge heat recovery exchangers, trim heating of the preheated sludge flows, and cooling of the sludge. There will also be tube-in-tube reactors designed and manufactured by DDI Heat Exchangers Inc. The system will utilize the DDI heat exchangers sludge-to-sludge heat recovery, and could have a full payback within a few months.

In this latest design, DDI has incorporated a stacked heat exchanger design in order to save space.

The Rialto facility will convert 675 wet tons per day of biosolids from five municipalities in the Los Angeles region into approximately 145 tons per day of renewable fuel. The renewable fuel, called E-Fuel™, will be used by a local cement kiln as an alternative to coal. The facility's customers include the Orange County Sanitation District, the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County, and the cities of Rialto, Riverside, and San Bernardino.

EnerTech Environmental Inc. is a renewable energy company dedicated to the protection of public health and the environment.

DDI has been in business since 1980 and has 39 representatives covering North America.
