Registration now open for HI 2007 spring meeting
PARSIPPANY, NJ, April 10, 2007 -- The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announced today that registration for its 2007 Spring Meeting is now open. The 2007 Spring Technical Meeting will be held at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center in Cleveland, Ohio from June 6 to 9, 2007.
The 2007 Spring Technical Meeting focuses on the meetings of over twenty HI technical committees. Beginning at the HI Spring Technical Meeting, each committee will be asked to begin to consider how the scope of their standards, guidelines, and technical work can contribute to helping the Hydraulic Institute begin to shape its' mission, "to be a value-adding resource to member companies and pump users worldwide by expanding knowledge by providing education and tools for the effective application, testing, installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps and pumping systems."
Registration is open to all HI members, associate members, committee members, and prospective members including all manufacturers of pumps or pumping systems in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Companies eligible for HI membership are encouraged to attend on a one-time basis to learn about the Institute as a way to evaluate membership benefits. Those interested in volunteering on any of HI's committees, including "future engineering leaders," are also encouraged to attend. "Future engineering leaders," considered engineers with 10 years of industry experience or less, add new resources to HI's standards writing process and will personally benefit from association with the industry experts they meet and work with regularly on committees. Non-members are requested to contact Mary Silver, Director, Marketing & Membership, at (973) 267-9700 x17 or via [email protected] before registering to discuss eligibility.
Access to the online meeting brochure and registration forms are available on the Institute's website at www.Pumps.org and can be printed and faxed to (973) 267-9055, mailed to PO Box 34289, Newark, NJ 07189, or e-mailed to Allison Kupfrian at [email protected]. Early registration discounts apply with substantial savings. Guests are encouraged to reserve rooms at Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center early as space is limited.
The 90-year old Hydraulic Institute, the largest association of pump producers in North America, is a global authority on pumps and pumping systems.
