DENVER, CO -- On April 26, The Water Research Foundation (WRF) will host an online symposium to share updates on wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) activities from around the world, with a focus on how this information is being used to support health agencies in their COVID-19 response.
“We are excited to once again convene global experts on this crucial topic,” said Dr. Peter Grevatt, WRF CEO. “Over the past 12 months, wastewater surveillance practitioners have made significant advances in this work, and we are eager to bring the water sector together to share the latest lessons learned.”
This event is a follow-up to WRF’s April 2020 International Water Research Summit on COVID-19, which convened global leaders to identify best practices and high-priority research needs around WBE in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The symposium will also include a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
