Val-Matic names new President

A.Y. McDonald has named Steve Dalton as the new President of Val-Matic Valve and Mfg. Corp.

DUBUQUE, IA -- A.Y. McDonald has named Steve Dalton as the new President of Val-Matic Valve and Mfg. Corp. of Elmhurst, IL effective May 1, 2021. Mr. Dalton will succeed John Ballun who is retiring in May after a 26-year career with the Company.

Dalton, who began his career as a consulting engineer in the water works industry in Chicago, joined Val-Matic in 2011 and has BS and MS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering along with Professional Engineering Registration. As Director of Engineering, he participated in standards developing organizations including AWWA, MSS, ASSE, and API.

A.Y. McDonald CEO Rob McDonald said, “with his consulting background and Val-Matic tenure, Steve brings a wealth of industry experience and leadership to his new position and will guide the Company through new challenges and opportunities as Val-Matic continues to grow.
