Xylem is expanding its bank of Godwin high-head dewatering pumps to cater for increased rental demand for these water removal pumps, giving customers the option to choose from an additional 20 assets of dewatering pumps.

BUXTON, UK, June 30, 2014--Xylem (NYSE: XYL), a global water technology company, is expanding its bank of Godwin brand high-head dewatering pumps to cater for increased rental demand for these water removal pumps. This will give customers the option to choose from an additional 20 assets of dewatering pumps, including the high-head Godwin HL series, the Godwin CD and NC (non-clog) series.

Xylem made the announcement at the opening day of the Hillhead 2014 trade show held on June 24-26 in Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, UK. Further, the company displayed its extensive range of Godwin and Flygt brand dewatering pumps at the event.

It showcased its Flygt BIBO range, which incorporates several proven design features taken from the original dewatering pump, as well as innovative enhancements that give the new pumps excellent wear resistance and uptime capability. Durable and robust, the company's Flygt BIBO series has been designed for the toughest dewatering environments including mining, quarrying, construction, and tunneling.

Xylem also demonstrated its Flygt 2600 drainage pump series. Consisting of six drainage and three solids-handling sludge pumps, the series is suitable for use in worksites of any size, handling flows from low to medium and high to super high. Likewise, the pumps can handle flows of up to 100 liters per second, heads to 90 meters and solids of up to 80 millimeters in diameter.

Accordingly, the Flygt 2600 drainage pumps feature Xylem's patented DuraSpin™ hydraulic system, Hard-Iron™ impeller and Plug-In Cartridge seal. New enhancements to Xylem's Flygt 2600 range include increased durability on the seal system, greater protection against corrosion, a simplified design, and capability for dry running.
