System grinds and screens wastewater solids

System provides size reduction and screening of raw sewage solids. Franklin Miller's SPIRALIFT SR is a pre-engineered system designed to receive, screen and separate septage solids.

Livingston, NJ, June 4, 2002--The SPIRALIFT SR is a pre-engineered system designed to receive, screen and separate septage solids. The SPIRALIFT incorporates a fine screening shaftless screw system, spray wash, optional press zone, control system and more. These units feature de-watering and compacting of screenings by up to a 40%. The processed solids are conveyed to a convenient elevation for discharge into a bin, bag or conveyor. The SPIRALIFT SR's control system monitors and controls system operation. These units are designed for capacities to match the offload time of typical septage trucks.

The SPIRALIFT SR is provided with a stainless steel tank enclosure. An automatic inlet valve automatically regulates internal fluid level. A quick disconnect inlet flange is an available option that provides for fast connecting to septage trucks.

SPIRALIFT Systems are available complete with a TASKMASTER Model TT grinder which features an integrated tramp-trap to precondition the septage prior to introduction into the screening system. The grinder optimizes unit performance and efficiency while helping to remove rocks and heavy metal objects which can inadvertently mixed in with the septage. The SPIRALIFT SR is available with one, two and three stages of solids separation. Auxiliary equipment includes an automatic monitoring system for tracking and billing of individual septage haulers and plants.
