Tetra Tech bags $60M water engineering contract from Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES, CA, SEPT 18, 2018 -- California-based firm Tetra Tech has secured a $60M engineering services contract from the County of Los Angeles to offer planning and technical support for their Water Resource Core Services Area projects.

Projects include water reuse and supply management, flood hazard mitigation, and drinking water well design.

Tetra Tech will offer plan and design for capture, retention and conveyance of surface water, stormwater and recycled water. The firm will use technology and sustainable design tools to develop integrated water management plans, carry out flood and storm surge studies, floodplain mapping, dam studies, and feasibility studies for flood control projects.

It will also prepare plans and specifications for the drilling of wells for drinking water besides offering technical oversight on well construction.

In August, Tetra Tech secured a $650M contract from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to develop innovative solutions to address land rights challenges across the globe.
