UK-based SHARC Energy Systems has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Canadian business, International Wastewater Systems following the reverse takeover of International Wastewater Heat Exchange Systems Inc. (IWHES).

Using direct heat exchange from untreated wastewater, IWHES technology provides solutions for heating, cooling and hot water for any building.

SHARC Energy Systems was launched in 2014 to bring the technology into the UK and Europe.

The SHARC Energy System uses what is usually a building’s waste by taking the raw sewage, treating and cleaning it, then using it to create an alternative heat source. It has been installed in the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and The Gateway Theatre in Richmond.

SHARC Energy Systems will continue to operate as the European manufacturing and distribution operation in partnership with Flowmech Products.
