• Expands its utilities footprint in North America
BANGALORE, India, Sept. 23, 2009 -- Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited, today announced that it has entered into a three year agreement to provide SAP enterprise applications management services for the Aquarion Water Company (AWC), the largest investor-owned water utility in New England and among the seven largest water utilities in United States.
The announcement comes close on the heels of Wipro being rated as a Leader in SAP implementation services by an independent research firm - The Forrester Wave™: SAP Implementation Providers, Q3 2009. Moreover, Wipro became the first SAP Partner to be Certified Globally in Implementation of Run SAP(R) Methodology.
Under the agreement, Wipro will provide its competency based FlexDelivery model in conjunction with Run SAP Methodology to provide business, technical and service delivery management support.

Wipro's innovative FlexDelivery model to manage enterprise application landscape has been deployed by more than 34 customers as on date to handle complexity and criticality of environment and business processes, variability in work volume typical in application maintenance and support engagements. The delivery is rendered from globally located FlexDelivery centers using standardized platform of tools and processes with teams aligned by competency. FlexDelivery has led to 10-15% improvement in service level and end-user experience.
