LIBERTY LAKE, WA, Jan. 14, 2015 -- Today, Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), a technology and services company, announced that Apa Nova Bucureşti (ANB), the largest water utility in Romania, has selected the company's services to help modernize its water metering system.
Over the next four years, ANB, which serves 2 million customers, will install Itron's highly-accurate water meters for high-use customers and multi-family buildings, which will allow the utility to better manage and conserve water resources.
Further, ANB will use Itron's water meters to improve the accuracy of billing to enhance customer service in Romania's largest city of Bucharest. The meters were selected for their long-lasting accuracy, reliable design and accuracy at low-flow rates.
