WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Aug. 12, 2003 -- Synergen Inc., a provider of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) solutions, announced that the city of Clearwater, Florida has chosen the Synergen Series to replace several existing work management systems.
The city's goal is to eliminate redundancies in data entry and standardize their CMMS needs with one integrated system to provide: an enterprise workflow platform to automate customer service requests, generate work orders, institute a preventive maintenance program and track multiple warehouse inventory and facility assets.
As one of Florida's premiere cities, Clearwater resolved to address the challenge of multiple city departments each using disparate asset management systems with limited functionality and enterprise reporting capabilities.
The city chose the Synergen Series to achieve their vision of a city-wide, integrated system for all city departments (including public utilities, public services, the Clearwater Gas System, customer service, building and maintenance, parks and recreation and fleet maintenance) that would also integrate with other city-mandated systems. The Synergen Series' web-architected solution makes it easy, and far more cost-effective, to deploy a system to support 2,000 city users at 250 separate sites throughout the city.
"Synergen exhibited the functionality and reporting capabilities that are essential to our operations and demonstrated a thorough understanding of our business requirements," said Dan Mayer, director of information technology for the city of Clearwater. "Synergen's GASB 34 functionality is far superior to that of competitive systems and is crucial to our compliance with Federal regulations."
"The city of Clearwater is dedicated to improving city efficiencies and providing unparalleled customer support to their citizens. The award-winning Synergen Series continues to be confirmed as the proven 'agent for excellence' by progressive municipalities seeking to deliver the utmost in support services within their communities," said Dick MacDonald, president and CEO of Synergen. "We're proud that a city with the vision of Clearwater has chosen Synergen."
Synergen's Web-architected CMMS/EAM software suite, The Synergen Series(tm), addresses all aspects of MRO including: collaborative work management, asset reliability and maintenance; inventory control, purchasing, and contract management; operational accounting; reporting and analysis; project tracking; safety and regulatory compliance; and document control. Supported by the latest in Internet technology, users need only a standard Web browser to rapidly install, deploy and access Synergen solutions across the enterprise.
