CINCINNATI, Sept. 18, 2003 -- Atos Origin, a global business and technology integrator, has been awarded a contract for professional services from Greater Cincinnati Water Works to provide e-learning for employees. The training for various groups of GCWW employees will offer education regarding the use of their total enterprise asset management (TEAM) solution systems.

The TEAM solution supports GCWW's work order management, inventory management, asset management, and project costing business processes across their Distribution, Commercial, Supply and Business Services, Water Quality & Treatment and Engineering Divisions. It also interfaces with the City's financial, purchasing, GIS, HR/payroll, and customer billing applications.

Atos Origin will provide a full range of e-training services for their work-order management and related applications. These services will include a training needs assessment, training content design, development and delivery, and technological needs assessment, evaluation and support.

GCWW, through a competitive process, selected Atos Origin based upon a strong project approach, and the qualifications of Atos Origin and its project team that will be performing the services for the City.

Greater Cincinnati Water Works supplies more than 48 billion gallons of water a year through over 3,000 miles of water mains to about 235,000 residential and commercial accounts.

It also sells water on a wholesale basis to Boone County, and Florence in Kentucky and to Norwood, Reading, and other municipalities and counties in Ohio. It is a municipally owned and operated utility, purchased by the City of Cincinnati from a private owner in 1839. GCWW tests the water more than 300 times a day from the source through treatment and in the distribution system to ensure high quality drinking water that meets all state and federal health standards.
