Cap Gemini Ernst & Young U.S. LLC and Indus International Inc. have joined forces to go to market with a joint business solution to help utilities improve enterprise asset management.

NEW YORK, NY and ATLANTA, GA, April 1, 2003 -- Cap Gemini Ernst & Young U.S. LLC, the global IT and management consultancy, and Indus International, Inc., provider of ActionPoint Management Solutions, have joined forces to go to market with a joint business solution to help utilities improve enterprise asset management (EAM). The alliance agreement was finalized at IndusWorld 2003 in late March in Las Vegas.

Indus will bring its functional and technical expertise around serving the electric and water utility industries, while Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will provide industry best practices around business process improvements, system integration and organizational design and change management from serving 70% of the world's largest public and private utilities.

"This agreement with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will allow us to improve our clients' profitability by reducing costs, increasing capacity and competitiveness, servicing their customers and billing for services," said Jon Thistlewood, vice president of strategic alliances at Indus International. "Combining world-class CIS and EAM capabilities of the Indus ActionPoint Management solutions with the business process expertise of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will enable our utility customers to further improve their responsiveness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction."

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will train 100 consultants on Indus software as part of the preferred alliance agreement this year, and will leverage its Accelerated Delivery Center (ADC) network of 12 centers in the Americas to help deliver these projects for utility clients on time and above client expectations.
