Energy Policy Act a hot topic at Autovation 2006, Oct. 22-25 at Tenn.'s Nashville Convention Center

NORTHBROOK, IL, Aug. 28, 2006 -- With more states beginning their investigations into advanced metering, AMRA is responding with extensive coverage of the Energy Policy Act (EPAct) and other smart metering topics for the more than 1,400 registrants expected at Autovation 2006.

AMRA, the world's largest nonprofit organization focusing on advanced metering issues, will cover smart metering, information management technologies and strategic operations during Autovation 2006: The AMRA International Symposium, Oct. 22-25 in Nashville, Tenn.

EPAct topics can be found across the breadth of the symposium and include:
-- Regulatory Perspectives in AMI & Demand Response -- a panel of experts discuss evolving views on demand response, customer communications and infrastructure
-- EPAct and Kyoto -- a panel discussion of how the Kyoto Protocols and EPAct are driving demand response and smart metering in Ontario, Canada and the United States, respectively

It's Socket Science -- AMI Selection Essentials for Energy Utilities, a Post-Autovation Post-Autovation course providing a high-level, pragmatic perspective on how AMR uniquely fits each business

Featured Speaker Nora Brownell, former commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, discussing her views on adopting solutions to achieve compliance with EPAct.
