CHARLOTTETOWN, PE, July 11, 2007 -- Cogsdale Corporation is pleased to introduce the city of Griffin as our fifth client in the state of Georgia. The city of Griffin is the predominant electric power supplier for Griffin and Spalding County, Georgia. They currently serve approximately 25,000 accounts, responsible for billing for one or more of the following services: electric, water, sewer, stormwater, garbage collection and disposal, security lighting, surge protection, telecommunications and landfill.
The city was in need of a software solution that would enable its user's greater access to information to assist customers and make better decisions. Also, the existing system was very limited in its ability to modify rates, processes and reports which made it hard for the city staff to keep up with the demands of a multiservice utility.
The city released a Request for Proposals for an integrated Customer Information System to adequately provide all functions related with customer information, metered and non-metered service, utility billing and service orders. They also evaluated accounting, human resources, payroll and other financial functionality to provide a fully integrated CIS offering. After receiving proposals, viewing demonstrations, performing site visits and making reference calls, the city determined Cogsdale was the best choice.
Tom Ridgway, Assistant Electric Director says: "It was apparent in the demonstrations and site visits to neighboring utility users, that Cogsdale had a very robust system that we felt will help the city meet our goals of improved rate management, customer service management and user experience" Cogsdale and the city started implementation this month and will continue implementation over the year with the core Cogsdale Customer Service Management solution. Future phases planned include Cogsdale Customer Web to extend the customer information and transaction capabilities to customers over the web as well as additional financial modules.

The city's Customer Service Department employees produce approximately 25,000 utility bills per month.
