SEATTLE, May 9, 2005 (PRNewswire-FirstCall) -- Popular industry magazine ENR, (Engineering News-Record), ranked management consulting and engineering firm R.W. Beck, Inc. in its Top 100 in recently published rankings of the Top 500 Design Firms in the U.S.
For many years, R.W. Beck has been published as part of the magazine's annual rankings; however, for 2004, the firm broke into the Top 100 -- up from 111 to 95.
With reported revenue of $88.2 million in 2004, R.W. Beck surpassed its 2003 revenue by more than $14 million. "A growth rate of 16 percent propelled R.W. Beck into the next tier of firms ranked by ENR magazine," says National Director Russell J. Stepp in R.W. Beck's Seattle headquarters. He credits the growth to increased diversity of services in the water and solid waste arenas as well as, in the energy sector, a continued resurgence of coal-fired generation plant development and increased renewables activity by utilities.
