SANTA ANA, Calif., August 27, 2003 -- Open-c Solutions, a provider of billing and customer care solutions to the utility and energy industry, announced that Denver Water has selected the Open-cIS customer information system to support its 217,000 water and wastewater accounts in the Denver metropolitan area.
After an extensive evaluation, demonstrations, an RFI, and a three week usability lab set up on-site in Denver, the selection team chose Open-c. "I was very pleased to see such a consensus from our selection team" said Mary Price, CIS Selection Project Manager. "The close match on business requirements, the process improvements that this system enables us to implement and the quality of the people at Open-c were key factors in our selection."
Open-cIS will replace the existing legacy CIS plus two specialized billing platforms that were needed to meet Denver Water business requirements. Open-cIS will give Denver Water improved business process flexibility and improved billing capability to better serve their customers.
Open-c CEO Doug Thompson commented: "We are thrilled to have been selected. Denver Water is highly regarded as a forward-looking organization with quality people, and we look forward to working with them to implement our solution. This selection by Denver Water continues Open-c's market place momentum, having already brought three other clients live in just the past 8 months."
